This morning I did three sets of Db shrugs and curls, took a 1.5 mile walk to return a library book, and after finishing this I will take dear dog for a 2 mile walk.
As much as I like to support local businesses, including large corporate ones that have a mortar and brick establishment, I'm also price sensitive and at some point ordering online becomes too compelling. Such a situation arose yesterday; we needed food and medication for dear dog and due to several offers the cost of what I wanted would have been about US$ 130 at my local Petco and US$ 85 with free shipping if I ordered online from Chewy. So, yesterday afternoon I did the online option and my order was delivered this morning and they gave me a US$ 30 discount on my next purchase.
Dinner last night was spicy curry chicken served over rice. Yes, that's two consecutive days that we had chicken and rice, but it should be noted that the spicing was very different. :-) Also, the latter was a request by wifey.
Have a great day!

Nothing wrong with chicken, rice and a green vegetable. That's 50% of my meals these days. Carry on.

Phil, I started the vid, but only for a few minutes given the time, but plan on watching it later. Like you I don't have an issue eating the same thing or something similar more than once, but wifey's not a fan so I was really surprised when she suggested what she did. After 43 years I guess there are still some surprises. :-)
Update
We got back from the party about an hour ago and it was a really fun time. Keeping to health stuff, I was decent considering the very tasty, but not very healthy food choices. No booze, only seltzer and water stuff so no calories in the beverage department, but I suspect the scale won't show a friendly reading tomorrow.
We're having eight friends over tomorrow. Just because which IMHO is a great reason. I anticipate of lot of both light and serious conversations, a possible walk, a game, and a dinner that I won't screw up. It's a real meat and potato crowd so while I'm not going to totally tow the line and will serve some "weird stuff" as one of my dear friends who will be attending will undoubtedly say, I'll be cooking for my audience.
I plan on doing something tomorrow AM and will write about it afterward.

Exercise yesterday was a two mile walk, meh. The rest of the day centered around our eight person party, which was a ton of fun.
This morning I walked about two miles with a stop to meet a friend for breakfast. My plan is to do a few sets of pushups this afternoon.
Have a great day!

Three rounds of sliders - were they from White Castle?

Three rounds of sliders - were they from White Castle? WC sliders would have been more enjoyable. UpdateI went for a 2.5 mile walk this morning and will break out my grippers after typing this. My driver's license expires next month and while I could have renewed online, I wanted a RealID one so I had to go in person. For many decades going to the Motor Vehicles Commission was an exercise in inefficiency and drudgery in a building that was reminiscent of something that would have been built in 1970 in Soviet era Russia. IOW, a depressing experience. I'm happy to write that today was almost the polar opposite. The building was totally redesigned, the process was efficient, and the people I interacted with where pleasant. Gotta give credit when its due. When hosting friends one of my many objectives is to have more than enough food. A benefit is that I have easy meals for a few days afterward. Two nights ago was one and last night was another. I gently sous vided already cooked flank steak, finished off the jalapeno corn dish, and made a garden salad. Have a great day!

The DMV has a mobile van that travels all over NJ during the year. I accidentally found out that the van will be in Bergen County in April, and in the parking lot of the Boro Hall of the town I live in during a day in April. So I made an appointment to get the real ID. I have seen the real ID, it looks identical to the current license, except on the License it lists "Real ID". I was surprised, I thought it would be a major difference.

This morning I did three set of push ups, 20, 20, 20 and after a short break, meaning after I write this, do three sets of TRX “Y” rows. No cooking for me last night because we took my MIL to a doctor appointment and went out to eat at 3. Usually when that occurs that’s our big meal of the day and we just forage in the evening, but last night wifey had dinner plans with some of the ladies from our gym group so she went out and I was left alone to forage, along with dear dog of course. In a cruel twist of fate as she’s trying to lose a few pounds before an upcoming wedding, she’s going out again tonight. I’m invited, but for a number of reasons, I’ll be staying home with dear dog and letting the ladies do their thing. This morning while doing an errand I got an alert that I need to put another quart of oil in my Audi. The car is twelve years old, but only has 104,000 miles on it, I love driving it, and there’s been no diminishment in performance, so I’m fine with having to top off the oil every 700 miles. My car purchasing philosophy is to keep them until they become unreliable and/or I have to put a lot of money into them and that’s not the current situation although there were concerns about being close to it last year while some issues were being sorted out. I may not be as handy as some of us here, but I know how to put oil in a car. Have a great day!

Thanks for the complement. I feel the same, though sometimes I feel with the added safety features of new cars, and as I get older where these safety features become more useful, it is worth it to get a new car.

I feel the same, though sometimes I feel with the added safety features of new cars, and as I get older where these safety features become more useful, it is worth it to get a new car. I'm really handier than I admit to and while I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment after completing a task I don't inherently enjoy the process of doing. As for the cars, you make a valid point. Regarding my two cars specifically, my 2012 Audi has essentially the same amount of safety features as my 2020 Subaru. UpdateFriday trainer fun was three rounds of: Bear crawl holds Leg raises Bicycle crunches Bb bench press Standing Bb curls Db snatches Bb skull crushers Bench dips Sliders It was an above average performance on my part. I can't say with certainty, but it may have something to do with a good night's sleep and a solid dinner. As I wrote yesterday I was alone last night and while I had thoughts of making a homemade pasta dish I elected to have two large bowls of vanilla ice cream with crushed sourdough pretzels and a dollop of peanut butter. TGIF!

1 quart every 700 miles or so isn't bad if you are good about adding it when needed. It is time for a new car when you have to add oil more frequently then gas.

1 quart every 700 miles or so isn't bad if you are good about adding it when needed. It is time for a new car when you have to add oil more frequently then gas. Lately I always have a quart or two in the car's trunk so I can replenish right away. UpdateAt home exercise this morning was Db shrugs, weighted reverse lunges, and sit ups. Wifey and I had some tentative plans to go hiking, but the weather isn't being very cooperative so we may just go on a walk around the neighborhood. Or not. Dinner last night was beef and bean chili with sides of jalapeno peppers and cheddar cheese served over rice. The chili was the last of a batch I made about two months ago and froze, so it was a very easy time in the kitchen. Have a great day!

Yesterday afternoon Wifey and I wound up taking dear dog for a 1.5 mile walk to complete our exercise for the day. After that we went off the rails.
For the first time in a while and the last time for weeks we had no Saturday night social plans and decided to stay home, listen to tunes and watch a movie. I had a nice dinner planned, but wifey came back from what should have been a very focused trip to the market with additional items of pretzels, chips, and dip. If anyone thought my solo dinner Thursday was head scratcher, which it was, unbelievably we had what she bought for dinner. Even as we were consuming and enjoying we were incredulous, but in an “evil pleasure” sort of way it was fun. My sodium intake the past few days has been through the roof and I’m carrying almost five pounds of water bloat. The lunacy stops today.
Have a great day!
