Not much of an exercise day to start my new journal, but I usually don't do too much on Tuesdays. I walked 1.5 miles round trip to meet a friend for breakfast and after coming home ran a mile.
Dinner last night was braised brisket with sides of pickles and homemade coleslaw.
Have a great day!

Mac and Admin, thanks for the welcome.
My intention is to follow the same format and frequency of posting here as I did at JSF.
Update
Today was a home workout of planks and push ups. Yesterday I got an additional 1.5 miles of walking done because wifey and I walked to dinner.
A very good and long time friend is a restaurant owner in town and for his new publicity campaign he hired a photographer to take pictures of some of the restaurant's offerings. Not wanting to waste the food our friend invited us and others to consume the already photographed food. The sequencing was that the chef finished a dish, pictures were taken, and then the food was given to our table of ten. There could have been fifteen people and there would have still been too much food. Everything was very good and it was fun because you never knew what was coming next.
Have a great day!

Hmmm. I thought I posted here yesterday. Anyway...
I woke up this morning to a cold house. After going through the check list of what I should do before calling my oil service provider I called and a service person was here within 30 minutes. It was a quick fix, but nothing that I would have ever diagnosed. Having an annual service agreement with them is money well spent.
It's cold and rainy so I'm going to wimp out and just do some home exercises instead of running. Damn, I really need to get my game on with cardio; it's getting to the embarrassing stage.
Dinner last night was lentil stew and it turned out great. I made enough for lunch today and wifey froze enough for the two of us to have another dinner.
No cooking tonight because I'm meeting a friend for dinner. I won't be cooking until Monday because we're leaving tomorrow to spend the weekend with dear daughter, her boyfriend, and dear son who drove there last night. Based on when he left and when he called to say he arrived I have to assume the speed limit was not a consideration. Unlike last month when we went to Boston for no reason other than to spend time with DD and her boyfriend, we're going this time because they bought us tickets to a Boston Bruins game. What do I know about hockey? Very little. Can I name a single member of the Bruins or their opponent? Doubtful. Will it be a fine weekend? Yes!
I managed to export my JSF journal to a Word file and glanced at a few posts from years ago. Words I wrote as well as those of others who are still on JSF and many who aren't. I only spent about fifteen minutes reading, but will be doing more in the weeks to come.
Have a great day!

Hmmm. I thought I posted here yesterday. Anyway... You did post on my journal. Perhaps doing that stuck in your mind and you thought you'd also posted on yours?

Maybe I'm just losing my mind. :-) Update Not much to write about exercise since the most strenuous activity of the day has been packing for the weekend. We're leaving for Boston in about a hour and will be back Sunday night. I know we'll be doing a decent amount of walking and the exercise plan is to hit the hotel gym at least once. I'm going to follow my usual M.O. (is that redundant?) and not get online while away, but I'll be back on Monday to catch up. TGIF!

We had a very nice time away. Exercising doing a lot of walking and I was pretty good with food choices and portion control. I was at the gym this morning for a mediocre workout that consisted of three rounds of:
Flat bench Db presses Flat bench Db flyes TRX mid rows Flat bench one arm rows Planks Leg raises Crunches Ab wheel rollouts
Have a great day

Thanks for the compliment on my photos back on the JSF forums. I bought a Nikon D7100 when Sara was pregnant with Alex back in 2015 and - get this - figured I'd practice with it and learn how to use it during my paternity leave. My folks got me a 50mm f1.8 prime for it for Christmas and I finally started shooting with it for real. I probably have about 5000 frames under my belt with my old film SLRs (from 4 years of art school plus two dedicated photography classes post-college) but I saw my cousin get a DSLR and probably shoot more frames in a month than I'd taken in my lifetime. It's incredible what you can do when the film and prints are free/virtual. The biggest hurdle I've had to overcome is my left hand not doing anything. My muscle memory still says it controls the aperture and focus. It's also bizarre to be able to change ISO on the fly. ...anyway, I have two happy little photo subjects so I always take the camera with me when I take them out to the park or someplace. The grandparents love the weekly photo dumps and I'm learning the camera. It's getting to the point where I'm finally changing the settings by touch as I move to new positions/angles. My goal is to take 10,000 frames this year and I'm already north of 3,500.

My goal is to take 10,000 frames this year and I'm already north of 3,500. I've been shooting digital for over a dozen years and while I'll never be a aim and spray shooter, due to so many years of film, I thoroughly enjoy the digital experience with the immediate feedback being on the top of my list. Most of the time I'm shooting aperture priority and will adjust the ISO and shutter speed accordingly. FWIW, I try to shoot with a low ISO and in normal situations let the camera decide the right shutter speed. For stopping the action of the two photos you posted I'd probably fiddle with the speed and shoot in manual. Update
Normally Tuesdays are a low exercise day and today is no different. I walked two miles to take care of an errand and will likely do some core stuff in a short while. No cooking tonight because I'm in the fasting phase of preparing for a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. Have a great day!

My colonoscopy went well with no complications. I was a little wobbly after the anesthesia, but am fine now. Restrictions for the day are no driving, signing legal papers, work, or alcohol. Already knowing the answer, I asked if it was okay to exercise. "No, one day off won't kill you." was the response. Okay, so nothing to write about I'll be sedentary today.
No cooking last night because I couldn't eat, but wifey and dear son had leftovers from previous meals I prepared.
Have a great day!

That test is nowhere as bad as you would expect. At least you are asleep. The doctor and his rubber glove is worse (imho).
Smart not to eat. After mine, I went out for breakfast, and threw up when I got home.

After mine, I went out for breakfast, and threw up when I got home. Agree with you about the tests. It's really something how quickly one, at least me, is knocked out. My appetite returned a few hours later and from then on I ate like I normally would. Update
Back to normal today. Exercise for the day is going to be ab wheel rollouts, push ups, and stretching, something I've been woefully bad about. Dinner last night was spaghetti and meatballs. I had one batch of home made sauce in my freezer as well as one batch of home made meatballs so I used them as part of an easy dinner because aside from reheating the aforementioned I opened up a box of pasta and cut up a salad. It's going to be just me and wifey for dinner the next five or six nights because tomorrow morning dear son is flying to Colorado to go skiing with college friends. I think there are going to be seven other kids; my understanding is one lives in Denver, two live in the NYC area, two near where they went to school in DE/PA, and two are flying in from Cali. Have a great day!
