Shamie, I don't know the totality of his health issues, but I know there were some that put him in a high risk category for the virus. Sad.
Thanks for the anniversary wishes. A romantic dinner at home with wifey, dear son, and dear dog. Okay, maybe not so romantic. LOL!

My normal Monday morning training session has been postponed until tomorrow. I still don't know where or at what time. For today I'm going to do some home BW exercises that will be similar to what I've been doing for the past week. I haven't done push ups in a while so they will be on the agenda.
Dinner last night was baked lobster tails, a medley of six different wild rices, and a salad.
Have a great day!

Reading you're thread makes me drool and wanting to cook. Thanks for the compliments. Regarding meat and potatoes, I think it was last Wednesday or Thursday that I made a meatloaf with potatoes. Tonight I'll be making an eye round and although I'm not sure yet what the side(s) will be I'm leaning toward sweet potatoes.

Firstly, does anyone know how to multi-quote so that I don't have to individually respond to each message? TIA.
I went to my trainer's house this morning to work out at his impressive home gym. I used the back entrance which leads directly to his basement and he was the only person I came into contact with. Under normal circumstances he's meticulous about cleanliness and I know he's upped his game so I didn't have any concerns; me going to the supermarket tomorrow will be riskier. I did three rounds of:
20 minutes on his dreadmill Goblet squats Flat bench Bb chest presses Leg presses Incline bench Db chest presses One arm Db bench rows Incline bench sit ups Low planks
Dinner last night was matzoh ball soup and chicken salad I made from the chicken I used to make the broth.
Have a great day!

The way I have started quoting is to use the "quote" test "/quote" where I copy paste what I want to quote into the "test." Note that the "quote" and "/quote" are in brackets [] not ". I used the brackets before editing but then it was just a quote and you couldn't see the text.
When I tried using the quote function it would quote what I wanted plus their quote of my post which became annoying.

Wifey and I make an effort to support local stores and we're still doing what we can for those that are still open. It occurred to me that we haven't been to any local restaurants in over a week and while it would be a VERY unusual occurrence for us to got out on a Tuesday evening I switched my dinner plans and ordered dinner for tonight from one of them. I know one of the owners and some of the staff and had a nice conversation with the owner I know this afternoon. He and his partner are doing what they can to sustain their business and have quickly transitioned from a less than 5% take out place to 100%. For now he and his partner are doing the deliveries in their personal cars and while they've had to cut the hours of their employees, the two partners are not taking any salary and maintaining full medical benefits for the staff. Good people who are struggling, but trying to do the right thing. Added bonus: I ordered dinner in person and used that as a catalyst to go on a three mile walk. Full disclosure: I'll be driving the short distance to the restaurant to pick up the food so that it's hot when served at home.

Firstly, does anyone know how to multi-quote so that I don't have to individually respond to each message? TIA. I right-click on the Quote button open the things I want to respond to in new tabs. Then when I'm ready to reply, I go to the tabs and switch the text box to BBCode; highlight; cut; and paste. It's clunky, but I've gotten used to it from the Tom Venuto forums. I always appreciated how tech-savvy John was when I had to use Venuto's antiquated Burn the Fat Inner Circle forums. That technology does, however, keep the memories of 2003 fresh in my mind. Wifey and I make an effort to support local stores and we're still doing what we can for those that are still open. Sara and I resolved to get takeout last night and batted around ideas before deciding on one of our favorite places on the basis that it's highly conscious of food allergies and probably has the most sanitary kitchen in NoVA. They were closed for business. So was the second choice, with their last Facebook post showing the employees taking home all of the perishable goods as they were laid off. I guess those places have to have alcohol sales to turn a profit. We got pizza instead. I hate to think of how many times human hands touched my food.

M@, thanks for your tech advice.
We have very few liquor licenses in town, which I can address in another conversation, so while I love the BYOB experience it definitely cuts down their profit margins. A very long time friend of mine opened a restaurant in town a little over a year ago and shut down a couple of days ago. He's planning on reopening at some point and is currently thinking about a change in business strategy to offer a more take out oriented menu. I feel for the owners of these places, but even having a liquor license here wouldn't change much in the short term; it's too cold to sit outside and all bars and restaurants can only offer curb side pickup or delivery.
I didn't consider the "other people touching my food aspect", but from what I've read anything over about 70F will kill the virus in minutes.
Hope the pizza was good!

We did take out last night too. Like M@, our first couple of choices were not open. One is doing take out Thur - Sun only, the other is just closed. Since it was National Cheese Steak day, we switched our plans and ordered cheese steaks. I was thinking this place (and the other pizza / sandwich places near us) would pretty much be business as usual since most of their business is take out or delivery. I was wrong. I was the only person there and the young lady behind the counter said it has been slow. I normally don't tip on take out but did so yesterday. It wasn't much on a small order but hopefully every little bit helps.

I read that the spread of the virus on the cruise ships was primarily through the dining/foodservice vector with kitchen staffs being disproportionately sick, so it makes me leery about takeout. The pizza was excellent as always, and we way overbought (3 family size pies - plain, pepperoni, and NY white) to help their cash flow and because the kids will always eat pizza. The fridge is packed with foil-wrapped slices.

I have nothing against cheese steaks, but I think it's gotten to the point that there's a national day for everything. Like you I'm surprised that businesses which are already set up to handle take out or delivery service aren't busier. Maybe it's a sign that people are concerned about their finances and are eating at home more often. Update
I was at the supermarket when it opened this morning. Some new restrictions in place to somewhat save the customers from themselves as well as the store personnel, but the policy of not letting more than 50 people congregate in one place absolutely wasn't being followed. Many shelves were fully stocked, but the usual suspects were not even though they were being rationed. I did some shopping for my sister who is recovering from ankle surgery and was able to get one of the last six packs of toilet paper. Small victories. I've already done one hundred squats and two two minute high planks. Dips are on the agenda as well as a walk with dear dog. Have a great day!
