I didn't consider the "other people touching my food aspect", but from what I've read anything over about 70F will kill the virus in minutes. I hadn't heard that. That's heartening! I read that the spread of the virus on the cruise ships was primarily through the dining/foodservice vector with kitchen staffs being disproportionately sick, so it makes me leery about takeout. The pizza was excellent as always, and we way overbought (3 family size pies - plain, pepperoni, and NY white) to help their cash flow and because the kids will always eat pizza. The fridge is packed with foil-wrapped slices. I hope I wasn't spreading disinformation, but I've been told about the 70F threshold by a few people who know much more about such things than I do. Take out is tricky; we normally go out to eat once a week, which for us is no longer an option, but like you want to help with the cash flow of restaurants we like so take out or buying a gift certificate for later use are our only options.

Finished with exercise for the day by doing 75 dips. Walk with dear dog did not happen, but she, me, and wifey may go for an after dinner walk.
Due to nothing but procrastination on my part I'm in somewhat of a pickle. For my sanity and health I need to start running again, but my running shoes are past their prime and that means shin splints for me. The stores are closed and each iteration of shoes is different than previous models so I'm reluctant to order online; I really need to try them. I think I'm going to lace 'em up and go for very short runs, which is likely all I would be able to do anyway, and see how I fare.
In other fun news, my sister got a call from her surgeon today that he has the virus and will not be meeting with her tomorrow. I met with him after her surgery and although there was no physical contact I certainly did have some with my sister during the week she was staying at my house. Everyone in the house has been monitoring their temperature on a daily basis and none of us have exhibited any increase so that's comforting. My sister's appointment is still on, but only one patient at a time is allowed in the office and she'll be meeting with another surgeon in the practice. My plan is to get her there, go back to her house, and return when it's time to take her home.

You are right at the two week mark from when your sister had surgery so if no one has had symptoms then you are probably ok (based on the recommended 14 day quarantine if exposed.). Hoping everyone in the Seltzer family stays ok and that the doctor himself will be ok.

I'm confident that everyone in our house and my sister are okay, but it certainly wasn't news that anybody wanted to hear. Update
No exercise yet; that will happen this afternoon and I'll report about it afterward. I some how tweaked my lower right back. Nothing coming close to pain, but noticeable nonetheless. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will only last a day or two. Dinner last night was a rump roast I had in a sous vide bath for ten hours and then seasoned and roasted. The sides were French cut string beans and a salad. Have a great day!

For my sanity and health I need to start running again, but my running shoes are past their prime [...] I'm reluctant to order online. Zappos purchase and return policy is really easy. I got my last set of running shoes there after trying on three different varieties. We probably have seven sets of shoes around the house right now as Sara just got rain boots for the kids and worked her way through five pairs of dress shoes to wear to the wedding that just got cancelled (four of which are boxed up for return). Once I find a pair of running shoes that I like, I set up a price alert on Shoekicker.com for $50. I've always gotten the alert during the useful life of the original pair of shoes. When they hit that price threshold (usually $49.99 but I've had it drop to $34.99) I'll buy three or four pair and stockpile them in the closet. That's about the right amount to get me through all of the shoes before dry rot sets in. I'm down to my last pair of Brooks Ghost 8s from the last purchase (2016), but I'm not exactly running anymore so they're just sitting there.

Thank for the info about Zappos.
When I was running and found shoes that I liked I would stockpile them also, especially when a new model came out and I was able to buy what I wanted at a discount. It didn't stave off the inevitable, but pushed it further into the future and saved me some $$.
Update
Exercise for the day was pushups. Meh.

My back has gotten slightly worse so I've made the executive decision not to do anything taxing today. I'll do some stretching and make friends with our heating pad, but even though it's really nice outside I doubt I'm even going to walk. Bummer. As I wrote yesterday, I'm not in pain or anything even close, but am experiencing a slight discomfort that I don't want to linger.
Dinner last night was a chicken and veggie stir fry seasoned with hoisin sauce that I spiced up with red pepper. I served the former over brown rice.
Have a great day!

Hope your back feels better soon. Do you know how you injured it? I was thinking earlier, now is not a good time to have a heart attack (like there ever is), being that the hospitals are so filled in our area.

Shamie, I have no idea what I did to tweak my back. I'll be fine; I just don't want it to linger.

100 squats 75 dips
My decision to lay low yesterday seems to have paid off as my back is feeling better than it was.
Dinner last night was homemade turkey meatballs and tomato sauce served over spaghetti squash.
Have a great day!

Glad your back is better.
I too am grateful for Graham setting this site up. I'm sure there is a way to use the bbcode to bring in more smilies. I wanted to use the confused smilie in my previous post.

mac, thanks about my back.
Update
3 high planks for 1.5 minutes each 3 wall sits for 1 minute each
No cooking last night because we ordered from a family owned Mediterranean restaurant that we really like. A lamb gryo with a Greek salad for me. Full disclosure: we shared some French fries.
I just finished making pizza dough that I'm going to give a few days to ferment and probably cook on Wednesday. Dinner tonight is in the works, but no comment until we actually eat it.
Have a great day!
