Nobody Does It Better
If there was an Olympic event called "Getting Free Stuff" dear son would win a gold medal. He proved that again this morning. His original flight to Denver included a four hour layover in Pittsburgh at a cost of about USD 550. He negotiated with the airline to put him on a direct flight for free, which would have originally cost him close to USD 1000, and he received USD 500 in travel credits, a USD 30 food voucher, an upgraded seat (more leg room), and he arrives two hours earlier.
On To Fitness
I woke up sick this morning. No caronavirus, just a common cold that will be gone in a day or two. Exercise for the day will be low, probably just taking dear dog for a walk of a couple/few miles.
Dinner last night was black beans with turkey served over cauliflower rice. No cooking tonight because we're going to dinner with friends for Valentine's Day. If my count is correct this will be my and wifey's 38th VD and before last year, when we went out with the same group, we only went to a restaurant once.
TGIF!

Haha! Is dear son possibly considering a career in sales? It sounds to me like he could sell hay to a farmer!!!!!!

Haha! Is dear son possibly considering a career in sales? It sounds to me like he could sell hay to a farmer!!!!!! IROC, I think he would be good at sales, but he's currently a financial analyst for Discovery Communications and he's not only good at his job, but enjoys it so I think that's the trajectory his career will take. Given that he's 24 anything and everything can change. Update
Today is our monthly hiking club hike and I bailed because I didn't want to deal with the ice that I know we'd encounter. Wifey went and I went to the gym for four rounds of: Ball slams Crunches Trap bar deadlifts Bosu ball burpees Db squat presses Mountain climbers Bench dips Step ups with Db's Additional exercise for the day will be taking dear dog for a walk. Wifey probably won't be hungry for dinner when she gets home from the hike and the lunch that always follows so I doubt I'll be cooking dinner, but I plan on making eggplant ravioli for consumption possibly tomorrow. I'm also currently dehydrating apples. Have a great day!

Four rounds this morning of: Variations of wall ball slams Kb goblet squats Box squat touch downs Stability ball roll outs with knee thrusts Trap bar farmer walks Walkouts with up downs and hand extensions Two arm Kb swings Dinner last night was leftovers, so no real cooking although I did make the eggplant ravioli I wrote about yesterday, which we will probably have tomorrow for dinner. We went out last night to see a friend's band for the first time and had an enjoyable time along with some other friends. We were home by 10 PM, which was fine by me and wifey. Have a great day!

I am not yet used to the new name of your journal. I guess in your case making eggplant ravioli does not mean emptying a bag of frozen ravioli into a pot of boiling water?

Shamie, I'm still not used to the name of my new journal. To be perfectly honest, sometimes I don't recognize it. Regarding the raviolis, you're correct. I made the dough and cooked the eggplant and then assembled the pouches. Since I knew we weren't going to eating them for a few days I froze them. Update
For additional exercise today I took dear dog for a two mile walk this afternoon.

Me, wifey, and dear dog took advantage of the great weather to go on a 2.5 mile stroll which took us through a park in town. Lots of people had the same idea so there were lots of encounters with other dogs. Dear dog gets an A- for behavior; a little too much pulling, but she was great with every person and dog she met including a four legger who started to get aggressive.
I'm alone for dinner tonight; wifey is going to a girls' night birthday celebration for a friend of ours who is turning 70 today.

ditto, I find even with myself having to search for my own journal. New beginnings can have their challenges

The day started with a 1.5 round trip walk to meet a friend for breakfast and after my food settled I went on a 1.5 jog/walk.
I was alone last night for dinner and just ate the refrigerator and had a smorgasbord of little plates.
Tonight's going to be a late one because I agreed to pick dear son up at the airport upon his arrival from Colorado. The plane lands at 11:10 which means we will be home the other side of midnight.
Have a great day!

Dear son's plane is about 20 minutes ahead of schedule so if all continues I'll be home a bit earlier than I thought. I still won't see my pillow before midnight, but every minute counts.
