Late night. Ravioli sound yummy. A late night for sure, but I'm feeling pretty good this morning. The ravs turned out just fine. More later once I do some exercise. Have a great day!

I went on a three mile walk this morning and will likely take dear dog out this afternoon for a couple of miles.
I'm in the midst of marinating flank steak that I will start dehydrating in about thirty minutes for some homemade beef jerky.
Normally, I don't prospectively post what's for dinner, but wifey and dear son have confirmed that they will be home tonight so I'm taking a leap of faith and writing that I will be making beef with sherry and garlic that will be served over cauliflower rice. There may be a spring mix salad involved.

I walked 2.5 miles this morning; I should have taken dear dog, but did not so she's going to need some exercise this afternoon. Beyond that I have some core exercises to do later today.
Have a great day!

I took dear dog for a walk that was a little less than two miles. With her meandering she walked farther and it served its purpose of getting her to expend some energy.
Gonna be a quiet and early evening, at least that's the plan.

Paul, I noticed you're doing lots of walking lately. That is something I'm seriously considering adding into my workout routine. I'm too big of a guy to be running, but I figure walking should be okay on my joints. What are your thoughts?

I'm too big of a guy to be running, but I figure walking should be okay on my joints. What are your thoughts? I think it's a good idea. You won't get the cardio effect that running gives you, but walking gets you moving, loosens up muscles and joints, and burns calories.

Three sets of pushups: 20,20, 10 Three one minute planks
Dinner last night was pork tenderloin seasoned with rosemary and garlic and served in a chicken broth/cream sauce. The side was a rice medley of six different rices that wifey picked up at an Asian market this past weekend. There won't be much cooking until probably Sunday. This afternoon we're going to lunch with my MIL, BIL, and a long time friend. Tonight we're going to a small restaurant that features music on the weekend. Tomorrow we're going to dinner with my SIL, her husband, and their two boys after we watch the boys' hockey game at a near by arena.

Five rounds this morning of: Two arm Kb swings Renegade rows with a push up, burpee, and overhead presses Wall squats while holding a Db at arms length Ball slams Walkouts with a Kb squat Leg raises Our plans for last night changed so we never went out. As we were finishing our lunch the owner of the restaurant, a family friend for over 50 years, came in and joined us and we spent over an hour chatting with him. Afterward everyone with the exception of the proprietor came back to our house for about five hours and we had the dehydrated apples and beef jerky I made along with other snacks, so no dinner per se. Even though I know my caloric intake was low I somehow managed to gain almost three pounds yesterday. ?? Have a great day!

Even though I know my caloric intake was low I somehow managed to gain almost three pounds yesterday. ?? You remembered to put the Kettle-bells down? I find that when I put a bit of weight on unexpectedly and in the short term that it might be due to something I've eaten that hangs around in the system for a while or might cause me to retain water. Seems to happen if I eat bread and/or salty foods.

While you didn't get out to listen to music, it seems like you had a nice evening anyways. As Admin ( ) mentioned, probably just water retention from salt or something and will be gone in a day.

Admin, I'm not supposed to hold Kb's when weighing myself. Who knew? :-)
I'm definitely sensitive to water retention from sodium and since I had a big restaurant late lunch that may have been a contributing factor. Regardless, I'm not too concerned as I'm confident I'll lose the weight in the days to come.
Mac, we had a really nice evening, in part because it was spontaneous with friends and family and while the music wasn't live we did listen to tunes. All is good.
As I wrote a couple of days ago, or maybe yesterday, we're going to watch our 12 YO nephews' hockey game. Afterward about a dozen of us are going out to dinner. We're going to the same place we went to for lunch yesterday because Wifey's sister and family have never been there and want to go.

Four rounds this morning of:
Variations of box runs and squat touchdowns Variations of Kb squats Ab wheel roll outs Sledge hammer slams against a giant tire Ball slams Up downs with a push up
Our contingent of fourteen who watched my nephew's hockey game last night went out to dinner so no cooking for me. We shared various appys and my entrée was lobster ravioli in a tomato cream sauce. Delish!
Have a great day!
