E, your insights and explanation of them are awesome.

- Easy, Light, Smooth, Fast. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Or any of those other mantras you use to slog through hundreds of miles of long distance training. They come in pretty handy outside of endurance sports, too. There's a lot of the Slacker Ethos in distance running, now that I'm thinking about it. Don't force things, you'll hurt yourself. Make time for rest and recovery. Strive for efficiency over hard work. Like, you wouldn't think of a marathon runner as lazy. But to physically survive the distance, you need to conserve energy. So I guess I'm saying the Blessing is that all of that past training has made me a better slacker.
I really needed to read that today. Sometimes the universe works it magic.

- I don't have fancy words or philosophical insights for this one. I just straight up had an awesome weekend. I will say, specifically, today has checked all the boxes:
- Physical Health
- Mental Health
- Spiritual Health
- Emotional Health
- Family Relationship Health
- Friend Relationship Health
- Financial Health
I think this is stuff people just do. Like, when I was originally thinking of this blessing, it almost sounded like bragging at first, in thinking back on my day. Cause it was just so good. Like, fucking awesome, you guys. But then in trying to describe it in detail, it started to sound mundane (hence, you are spared a minute-by-minute recounting of my Sunday). So maybe there's the blessing: the ordinary feeling extraordinary.

I love you man. Sending you a FB message. E, your insights and explanation of them are awesome. I really needed to read that today. Sometimes the universe works it magic. You know, I would normally say something simultaneously self-deprecating and playfully insulting like - y'all might consider a mental health checkup yourselves for spending any time at all on the blatherings of a madman - but we're breaking old habits. I love y'all too and I appreciate your time and attention. Sharing ideas is such a blessing I'm considering the possibility it's something close to immortality. Have the best evening and kick Monday morning in the nuts!

- Jogging for one "Started from the Bottom" and running for one "List of Demands." Bonus Blessing: Not dying from it.

- Came across this while walking the pup around town tonight. And I'm about as religious as your typical former Catholic, which is to say not at all. It obviously caught my eye, given the picture. But it got me to stop and ponder for a bit. And it even got an 'amen' from me. Because I've been blessed to know so many miracles, personally. I've ran shoulder to shoulder with them. I've shared victory beers with them. I've spilled my musings to them across the Internet. I mean, what even are the odds that a po-dunk schmuck from the Boonies would encounter so many miracles in his inordinately long life so far? Let alone to be so amazingly blessed to consider them friends? I've hugged miracles. Like, a lot of them. Enough that I'm beginning to think 'miracle' is the default mode for all y'all out there (in the grand all y'all way).
I hope all y'all (in a more specific JSF way) have the best weekend! <3

The saying that heroes don't always were capes is one I believe. I've met many with most being regular folks going about their lives doing the "right" thing, and I know that I've been impacted in a positive manner by their respective behaviors and words. And, as you wrote E, that includes members of the JSF community.

- You gotta admit, as blessings go, we're off to a solid Sunday. And it's still way early.

- Recreational Stupidity. What a privilege to be able to put myself in physical, emotional, or financial risk just for giggles! Tearing apart muscle tissue, not because I need to build shelter or wrestle dinner, but because I want my t-shirts to look better around the arms. A run on the treadmill has all the same indications as a cardiac event, and I pay for the privilege, and gladly wipe down the equipment when I'm done. Those are some audience-specific examples, but let's be real: pretty much anything that's not working towards food, shelter, or procreation, is biological stupidity. Wasted resources and effort. Noodling around. Even the things I stress over. Almost all of them are self-induced and optional, when I really think about it. And when I complain, it's performative, because I chose this life. Recreational whining. Recreational stress. Recreational stupidity. And all of this is simply to remind myself: since it's all recreational, it's supposed to be fun. Don't take it too seriously.

Again, well said and a lesson I need to learn.
