- (I have the best dog. That's not just a Blessing, that's a True Fact. I'm throwing that in for free).
- I ran for 2 songs, rested for a song, then ran another song. Smooooooth.

Welcome. I hope you stick around.
I remember you from JSF but I think you quit posting around the time I started posting regularly sometime after 2010 probably 2012 or so.

I echo Mac's sentiment of hoping you stick around!
I got a chuckle over how you timed your run intervals. Whatever works, right?

- Patience.
- Reconnecting.
- Slowing down and breathing.
- Rediscovering old playlists.
- Jogging for an entire "Voodoo People." Do you guys remember how loooong that song is?!? Maybe it just feels long on a treadmill.
- The nice lady who picked up my phone when it flew off the treadmill.
- Realizing that "building a mental coalition" is just the neurodivergent/data-analytic-nerd way of recognizing that I have amazing friends.
- Remembering that I don't speak Spanish.
Oh, hi you guys. I've gone bat-shit insane since we last talked 12 years ago. I hope you don't mind.

I remember the name Ecrivain. I vaguely remember you ran a marathon? Welcome. I can't write about the totality of Ecrivain's marathons, but I can write that during the Marine Corps Marathon in 2010 he was nice enough to stay with me for about 25 miles before he ASKED if I would be okay with him letting it all out. - Patience.

Is there some reason you think that those of us who you knew then are any saner now?

I remember the name Ecrivain. I vaguely remember you ran a marathon? Welcome. While I'm wallowing in nostalgia, you prompted me to dig out the ol' race log. Thank you for the trip down memory mile. 12/6/2009 Las Vegas Marathon 26.2 4:58:34 0:11:24 Las Vegas NV 10/31/2010 Marine Corp Marathon 26.2 4:48:40 0:11:01 Washington DC 10/16/2011 Columbus Marathon 26.2 5:45:43 0:13:12 Columbus OH Funny thing about all that. Nobody cares what you used to run. Is there some reason you think that those of us who you knew then are any saner now? Fair point and thank you. Rude of me to assume anyone's mental orientation. Don't you remember any Spanish from Costa Rica? That's the blessing. I'm terrible at languages. I took 8 years of French and all I could do with it now is seduce a little cabbage. I never took Spanish. Well, I took a 4 week crash course before I moved to Costa Rica, but I was more interested in the attractive woman who helped me study (who I subsequently asked out... you know, because who wouldn't want to start a relationship with someone about to leave the country? I really am a goober ). Point being, I survived a full year living in a Spanish speaking country... living, mind you, not just visiting or vacationing... I got a freaking bank account and multiple jobs and paid rent and moved apartments and navigated bureaucracies and ordered pizzas and crossed borders and had toe surgery and cooked Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't have a cell phone or GPS or a car. And I barely spoke the language. But I didn't just survive. I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Literally because of the kindness of strangers. Good people helped me every step of the way. I can think of multiple times I should be dead just during that year alone. And here I am. Helluva blessing not speaking Spanish. Thank you for emphasizing that one.

Las Vegas: I wuz there. Marine Corps: I wuz there. Columbus: Nope. I ran the half there in 2006 as part of a double header (I ran the half in Baltimore the previous day).
I remember I started following you online when you were blogging about your ESL experience. I don't remember if that was on JSF.

- NO MEETINGS ALL DAY!!! (I can't believe I almost forgot that one. SO. GOOD).
- Deo Volente
- Dr Pepper & Cream Soda Zero Sugar (the Strawberry and Cream is so good it deserves a separate count later too)
- Kicking gout. Dude. Being able to walk. Game changer.
- While we're at it, let's count the ol CPAP. Sleeping and breathing. Huh. WHO KNEW?!?
- Goats
- The good kind of sweaty smell, after working out and being outdoors and exhausted, when you're covered in a light sprinkle of salt from the sweat drying, and you feel grimy, but somehow not dirty.
- That said. SHOWERS!!! Peace out. It's on you if you're imagining me soaping up now.

Dear Seltzer... to quote a wise man from just a few posts ago:
"Funny thing about all that. Nobody cares what you used to run."

- The heavy sleep of exhaustion from two full days of so many blessings I couldn't keep them all in my head.
- Friends & Family & Puppers & Music.
- Acceptance. Finding that integration doesn't mean conformity.
- Walking. This one's been coming up a lot. I can't even remember all the good times I've been able to have just from taking a walk. Solo. With a friend. To get someplace I shouldn't be allowed to go. To get places you can't get in a car. To just walk it out for therapy.
I grew up out in the country, no sidewalks, no public transportation, and not really safe to bike on the public roads at the time. Most of my friends from school were in a different town entirely. But I had a buddy, Joey B, who would come over and we'd just take off on foot. He'd walk anywhere just to see what's what. Opened up the world to me. I still contend that on foot is the best way to get to know a place. - Go With The Flow MFers
- Rainy days that encourage slowing down.
