Today's National Dog Day. To all who have or had a dog, that's my PSA for the day. Soon! Sara has almost caved. She misses having a dog around and with the kids going to school there's a little more time/energy for one.

Hoping things go somewhat smoothly with moving your BIL out and that he doesn't cause too much trouble.
While inconvenient, it is good they found the gas leak before it caught fire.

I am sorry you series about your BIL is probably coming to an end. From a readers point of view, I liked reading it. I'm sure there will be more for me to vent about in the future as there are issues that still need to be addressed, yesterday's move gave everyone a huge sigh of relief. Today's National Dog Day. To all who have or had a dog, that's my PSA for the day. Soon! Sara has almost caved. She misses having a dog around and with the kids going to school there's a little more time/energy for one. I'm a dog person so I hope that happens soon for you and your family. Hoping things go somewhat smoothly with moving your BIL out and that he doesn't cause too much trouble. While inconvenient, it is good they found the gas leak before it caught fire. My BIL was still unprepared to move so wifey, her sister, and dear son had to pack him up and move his stuff while, according to dear son, he did nothing. It's done and that's the important thing. Regarding the gas leak, I totally agree. Each time the before the guys came into the house they asked permission and told me that some people refuse to let them in. My attitude was, don't bother asking each time, do what you have to do, and I'll do my best to stay out of the way. We never smelled gas in the house; the people who called it in are neighbors of ours who smelled gas while walking their dog in front of our house. It took two solid days, but the work is done. UpdateThis morning was our hiking club meet up and after reading the description that stated the hike would be very rocky and hilly I decided not to embark. Based on the feedback I got from everyone, I made the right decision. I drove wifey and while the group was hiking I mostly read and did a short walk on the easy part of the trail head. As always, we went to lunch afterward and I was really good at that. :-) Have a great day!

Got Sunday going with a good Boot Camp workout. Four rounds of:
Treadmill Standing single arm Db rows Sliders Rower Db goblet squats Ball slams Sit ups
No cooking last night because we were full from our late and large post hike lunch although I did have some of wifey's leftover hamburger.
Have a great day!

Exercise so far has been two 1.5 mile walks to the hardware store with the purpose of fixing a seemingly simple plumbing issue in my kitchen. I threw in the towel and called the plumber who installed the hardware and he's going to come over this afternoon to assess and hopefully remedy the situation. PIA that's already cost me more time than I thought it would and with a plumber coming over there's going to be a bigger hit to my wallet than was anticipated. Back to exercise, I plan on doing renegade rows this afternoon.
Dinner last night was a chuck roast I had in a sous vide bath for 22 hours which I then seasoned and pan seared. The side was a garden salad using cucumbers and tomatoes from our garden.
Have a great day!

I had one of my best workouts of late this morning. Three rounds of:
Low planks Db goblet squats Flat bench Bb presses TRX table top rows Bench dips Leg raises Crunches
This afternoon I'm having another scan done; for this one I have to have dye injected.
Dinner last night was flounder baked with lemon juice, butter, and Old Bay. The side was a salad once again using cucumbers and tomatoes from our garden.
Have a great day!

Exercise so far has been three sets of fifteen supermans. Later today I'll do gripper work. We're leaving in about an hour to take my MIL to various doctors so it's going to be a long day with lots of downtime. One of the appointments is in a hospital clinic and I'm not allowed in the hospital so that's when I'll pull out my grippers. To make sure I don't forget them as I did the past two times I've put them next to my car keys. I'll also be bringing reading material, water, and a bag of cherries to munch on.
Dinner last night was BBQ covered chicken wings, which I bought by mistake, that I cooked in my air fryer. The side was a salad.
Have a great day!

You never used to mention about driving your MIL to appointments (at least I don't recall). Did she stop driving when she moved?
Good luck on the results from your scan.

You never used to mention about driving your MIL to appointments (at least I don't recall). Did she stop driving when she moved? Good luck on the results from your scan. My MIL hasn't driven in about four years and even then it was limited to a very short trip to the supermarket or beauty parlor. Even before she moved wifey and I are the ones who are taking her to her doctors; other siblings take care of other needs. Thanks about my scan. UpdateMy MIL came down with a bout of sciatica and was close to being incapacitated so we cancelled her doctor appointments and instead spent most of the afternoon chatting with her in her apartment.

We got 7.2 inches of rain yesterday/last night. It was windy, but we suffered no damage. The same can't be said for some of our friends in the area who have flooded basements and roof damage. Wifey and I are planning on going to one of the friends whose basement flooded to help with the clean up this afternoon.
Exercise has been nil so far, but I plan on doing lateral and front Db raises at in a short while and I'm sure there will be some functional exercise moving stuff at our friends' house.
Dinner last night was a top round roast that I had in a sous vide bath for nine hours before seasoning and searing. The sides were a combination of six Japanese rices and also string beans.
Have a great day!

My hope is that when I become very advanced in age (assuming I am still alive), autonomous cars will be commonplace. Glad you had no damage.

My hope is that when I become very advanced in age (assuming I am still alive), autonomous cars will be commonplace. Glad you had no damage. Thanks Shamie. UpdateIt's always enjoyable to go on vacation, but I find the days leading up to it and particularly the day before we leave stressful. Lots of little things to take care of and a worry about forgetting something. The reality is I'm not going to forget anything significant and tomorrow we're going to an area that has supermarkets and other stores that I can get anything I want. We're going on our annual vacation with wifey's family on a barrier island off the NJ coast. Per tradition I will be cooking the first night's meal for twenty people and it's going to be: Appys Home made butter bean hummus Salsa Crackers Chips Entree Shrimp and crab gumbo Rice Salad Dessert Assorted pies Ice cream Each family is responsible for one meal and the upside of doing the first one is that I've gotten it out of the way. The downside is that when we're in a house for the first time, which is this coming week's situation, you don't know what equipment is supplied so you have to bring everything you are going to need. Exercise for the day is going to be Turkish getups followed by functional exercise of loading the car. While away I'll do something every day as well as a virtual training session with my trainer on Tuesday. I most likely won't post while away; I use the time to give myself an internet break. TGIF!
