19/08/21:
Deadlift: 60kg x 8 - 75kg x 8, 8 - 90kg x 8, 8
Bench: 40kg x 8 - 54kg x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Chins: BW x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Abs: Leg Raise: x 14
Crunch: x 14
Side Bend: 16kg x 14
Good workout. I'm liking the simplicity. A slight mistake with the Deadlift. Felt that 90kg felt very comfortable to lift. Then realised I'd only loaded 75kg.
Dropped what was probably some water weight.
Got a new scale to set up and tape and callipers to try out over the weekend.
Scale weight 184lbs.

Didn't get to the gym or the garage gym over the weekend. Should have tried harder.
I still need to try out tape and calliper measurements for body fat but did set up the scale. It only measures lbs in quarter lb steps rather than fifths of a lb so I'll be rounding 1/4 and 3/4 lb readings up to .3 and .8 respectively when I record them on the app I'm using.
The great thing about the new scale is the consistent readings. Five times in a row yesterday it gave the same reading. This morning I measured three time to be sure. Same reading each time and probably consistent with my observed progress.
Scale weight 182.8lbs @24%bf. (Lowest recorded bf reading of the year so far).
Edit. Just had the offer of overtime at work every evening. This will require a reschedule of workouts as I'll probably do it. The chance of overtime doesn't come around too often.

24/08/2021:
Squat: 60kg x 8 - 85kg x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Press: 20kg x 8 - 27kg x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Dips: BW x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Leg Raise x 14, 14
Crunch x 14, 14
Side Bend 16kg x 14, 14
No overtime this evening so got to the gym. Good session. Comfortably completed my targeted reps. Was tempted to push for extra reps but kept at what was planned for consistency.

Brief update:
I'm liking my new scales. They tell me what I want to hear!
Scale weight this morning 181.8lbs @ 23.7%bf (lowest bf reading of the year so far).
Intend to do both a lunchtime walk and a late night brisk walk.

Update:
Not much to update really. No physical activity since Monday except for a Tuesday lunchtime walk as I've been doing overtime each evening and last night was busy booking a short-trip to Northern Ireland and going to my mother's house to feed her cats.
Tonight I'm going to take my own cat with me to my mother's house and stay there the night. My cat used to live there with the other two cats and I like to keep them acquainted. I'll come back home before work in the morning.
Probably won't get a chance to post for a few days. On Saturday I'm going to a film festival in Leicester Square London for the day. Films will run from approx 11:30am to 3am. I'm then working overtime on the Sunday. Realistically, it will be Tuesday before I'm back at the gym.
Scale weight still at 181.8lbs @ 23.7%bf

That is one late start for the festival.

That is one late start for the festival. Late finish? It's been a while since I did the whole weekend of the Festival. 3 films Thursday evening. 6 films on each of Fri, Sat, Sun and 5 on Monday. 26 total. Think the maximum I ever managed was 23 films over the five days. I could have done more if I'd stayed somewhere close to the cinema rather than travelling in from home but couldn't justify the cost.

Yes, I was referring to the 3 AM finish. My bad.

Yes, I was referring to the 3 AM finish. My bad. I've read my post again. It does sound especially late because I've put the wrong time. I must have been thinking about the time I'll likely get home which is around 3am. Films will 'only' play until around 1-1:30am.

29/08/21:
How I wish I had got home at 3am.
Transport mix ups and delays meant getting home a little after 4:30am. I've been working since 8am.
Running on fumes!

Update:
Despite getting home very late on Sunday morning I really enjoyed my day in the cinema on Saturday. The quality of the films was variable but the day was great fun. Got to watch movies and talk music and movies with a friend I'd not seen for 18 months.
Diet was rubbish on Saturday, mostly picking up fast-food between movies and of course a lack of sleep Saturday night although I did grab a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon.
Some functional exercise today mowing the lawn and pruning trees and bushes.
Planning on going to the gym tomorrow after work.

Good to hear that you enjoyed the film festival even though it made for a tired Sunday at work.

31/08/21:
Deadlift: 60kg x 8 - 92kg x 8, 8, 8
Bench: 40kg x 8 - 55kg x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Chins: BW x 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
Abs: Leg Raise: x 14, 14
Crunch: x 14, 14
Side Bend: 18kg x 14
Good workout. Those side bends with 18kg felt heavy.
Diet wasn't great on Sunday and Monday. Monday night I was watching Andy Murray at the US Open and ended up having a couple of Bourbons, potato chips and a couple of Ice Creams. It's the stress of watching Murray play, I think. On a positive note, as a fan of Andy Murray, he played better than he has for years.
31/08/2021: Scale weight 183.8lbs @ 24.1%bf
Bit of a bump of scale weight and bf% unsurprisingly
01/09/2021: Scale weight this morning 182lbs @23.8%bf.

I saw some of Murray's match and I agree that he did look very good.

I thought Murray once announced he was retiring.
