Hoping you can get things dried out enough to continue working on the house. It wont be easy living without water for a little while.

Thanks guys... there was actually no damage (except for the burned out sump pump, which I can return to Home Depot whenever its ok to leave the state). I will have all my water hooked back up in the house by the end of the day on Monday, so I'll be good for one night (as long as I don't have to take a dump). Obviously, we have showers at work... in fact, there is one in the area I set up as my "home gym."
Speaking of which, I am almost ready to go for Monday... I actually just did a bunch of food prep for the next few days, considering I still won't have a full kitchen for a little while. Monday is chest and shoulders, Tuesday is back and cardio, Wednesday is cardio only, Thursday is leg day, Friday is arms and cardio, Saturday and Sunday are cardio only. And yes... I will be running for cardio... thirty minutes per session as of now.

Starting Stats: 175.0 @ 24.0% (41.9 fat/133.1 lean) Week 0 Stats: 175.3 @ 23.3% (40.9 fat/134.4 lean)
Week 0 Results: +0.3 lbs / -0.7% (-1.0 fat/+1.3 lean) Overall Results: +0.3 lbs / -0.7% (-1.0 fat/+1.3 lean)
Methodology: All stats are taken daily under identical conditions (first thing after waking/urination). Weight, body fat measurement #1, and hydration levels are done with bathroom scale, body fat measurement #2 is done with hand held BF analyzer. Body fat measurement #1 and #2 are averaged each day. Data is calculated to determine "fat weight" (BF% average / scale weight) and "lean weight" (weight - fat weight)... this is basically "everything else", including water. Weekly results are calculated using the daily averages of weight, BF%, fat weight, and lean weight / number of days recorded.

OK I am all moved out of the apartment, and the girl who cleans for me got it all ready for the new tenant. She said she was hoping to be here by 5:00, but she texted me at 3:00 that she hadn't left yet and would let me know when she got on the road. Still no word, and it's a 3.5 hour drive from where she is now. She has been here before and has seen the apartment, so if she's not here by 10:00 I'm going to sleep to be ready for that 4:20 alarm tomorrow morning.
Since dearest wife was here for a short visit this weekend (she did observe the self-quarantine rules and did not leave our property from the time she arrived until she left) she helped me get everything packed up and transferred over, and then I went and got a pick-up truck load of mulch and we weeded a bunch of the flower beds and got them all spruced up. There are still as many to be done as are completed, however, so we'll pick up where we left off when she returns.
She mentioned that if it wasn't for the boys being with her at the house in PA, she would be spending more time here with me since she is tele-working now. We discussed again that when they do call her back to work (and the boys are back at college), it would be great if she can establish a three-day work week on-site (and tele-work the other two days). If that happens, she could come down on Thursday night after work and return on Tuesday morning (going right to the office). That would really be nice.

Speaking of which, I am almost ready to go for Monday... Do you have a defined set of goals or is the goal to execute the program as planned and see what the results are? If that happens, she could come down on Thursday night after work and return on Tuesday morning (going right to the office). That would really be nice. That'd be awesome. Do you still have a boat? Sailing seems like the nexus of outdoor activity and social distancing.

My goal is to win the Master's Classic Bodybuilding title at the East Coast Classic next July.

I do still have the sailboat... but it's in no condition to sail. Recreational boating is against the law in MD right now anyway... go figure.

I just read that NJ and NY are opening marinas and will allow boating. I'm sure social distancing rules will apply i.e. only household members on the boat.

Like M@, I'm interested in knowing how Day 1 went.

Oh Hai...
Yes, Day One went as planned, and so has the rest of the week, with a few exceptions as noted below.
Cardio... I ran a 5k on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (today)... or at least, I ran/walked. The first day I couldn't keep my heart rate down for more than a half-block... it really was a kick in the teeth, but then again, I haven't run for over two years. Each day, however, I have been able to run further at the target heart rate, and today I was running more than I was walking. All of these were early am fasted runs, although I will be moving my cardio to late afternoon, probably next week. I've been averaging a 14.30 mile... so whoever said recently I could go out and run a sub 25 5k would lose that bet.
Diet... Every day has been perfect so far... and considering I didn't have running water or a refrigerator until yesterday, that was a real accomplishment. The foods are everything I like to eat, meal prep has been very simple, and the portions are plentiful enough that I am not getting hungry. Tomorrow will be my fifth day without sugar, wheat-based carbs, dairy, alcohol, and coffee (although that latter one is more due to my lethargy to make a cup at home - remember, the company I work for owns a coffee shop... so I'm spoiled - and haven't wanted to go in because #corona).
Weights... I worked Chest and Shoulders as the plan called for on Monday, and it was a long workout because I was basically using a whole new gym (even though it is all my equipment) and also guessing at my starting weights. I was actually late to work that morning as a result, despite the fact that I was already at my workplace LOL. I was tasked with weeding all of our flower beds and the trees that line the driveway and landscape the property, which meant much of my day this week was spent on my hands and knees, and working my wrists more than I would have liked. So I didn't lift again after this first workout, and will try to get two good days in next week with the goal of working up to four a week.
Physically... As a result in the change in my diet, I have cut my blood sugar levels in half, and while they are still not "under control" I am sure they will continue to get better. I am also doing this without the benefit of my usual TRT... I was supposed to have my quarterly procedure done next week, but because #corona its been pushed back until mid-June, so my testosterone level is very low. I have a solution for that coming soon... one of the perks of working with a top-level trainer. My over-the-counter supplements haven't changed, aside from adding creatine. I did ask to replace the pre-bed protein shake with some additional protein earlier in the day, which was fine.
Mentally... it's been one of the hardest weeks ever, as the stress of the house is taking its toll as well. As I mentioned, however, we completed all of the water connections, finished installing the sub floor, and even put appliances into place... I am actually using the "new" refrigerator (that we bought seven years ago and never took out of the box) and will have the "new" stove hooked up tomorrow. It felt really great to sit in our new kitchen and visualize the floor plan and foot traffic... in fact, I have insured that the entire cottage meets ADA requirements for wheelchair access.
Well... enough of my yakkin'... gonna catch up on everyone else's journals tonight (I have the day off tomorrow... but will be finishing up projects at the house, of course).

Starting Stats: 175.0 @ 24.0% (41.9 fat/133.1 lean) Week 0 Stats: 175.3 @ 23.3% (40.9 fat/134.4 lean) Week 1 Stats: 173.9 2 22.2% (38.7 fat/135.3 lean)
Week 1 Results: -1.4 lbs / -1.1% (-2.2 fat/+.9 lean) Overall Results: -1.1 lbs / -1.8% (-3.2 fat / +2.2 lean)
Notes: Workouts 1/4, Cardio 4/5 (session 5 will be done today). I think I am going to track stretching/foam rolling starting this week.
First off, obviously the nutrition plan is working perfectly, as I have lost almost 2% body fat over the past two weeks. Essentially, I am living a gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, and alcohol free lifestyle... I've become one of those people. But hell, it's working and working quickly... and I am enjoying the food. I missed a few meals yesterday, however... still trying to balance working an 18 hour day on the house and taking breaks to eat, but to be honest, I really wasn't hungry and had lots of energy to get the jobs I had on my punch list done.
Instead of running yesterday, my cardio session was picking up a cinder block, carrying it 25 yards, and putting it down. 33 reps in one hour (90sec per rep), pretty much fasted (see above) as this was the last project of the day. I'm supposed to run today, but I am thinking I may fire up the LifeCycle and stay indoors this afternoon/evening. Overall, given all the challenges I have faced and stress I have encountered, I feel like I am making positive changes in my life right now. #coronastrong
