Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I'm really excited and motivated to get started, and my trainer has been very responsive to my texts, which is a good sign. I took my "before" pics this morning, and he was pleased with where we will be starting. He did just let me know that he hopes to have my program written and delivered by the end of the weekend, but he has five other programs to write in front of mine, so it might be a few days until I officially "start."
In other news, I found my stash of fitness electronics (mostly a bunch of old iPods that I don't care about anymore if they get sweaty/dropped/etc) including my Nike+ GPS Sport Watch and the Polar HR strap that syncs with it. I was able to fire up the strap with just a new battery, and charged up the watch (which plugs into a USB port on the computer). I was able to sync the watch and the HR strap with no problem, and stepping outside into the driveway, I was able to get a GPS signal. I'm going to wear it on my walk tomorrow (I did get in three miles today) and hope all works according to spec.
To my disappointment, however, it appears that Nike discontinued all support for their smart watches in 2018, so not only is the Nike+ website gone (which makes it impossible to upload workouts to get detailed data), but as a result it is impossible to offload the workouts from the watch. In theory, this means that once the memory is full, the watch becomes useless. I am hopeful, however, that by doing a "hard reset" (to initial factory settings) it will clear the stored data. We shall see...

Just got back from a 5mi walk with the Nike+HR... after I recorded the data, I did a factory reset and it did indeed clear the walk from the device history. Only issue now is that just before I got back, I got a "low battery" warning. I fully charged the unit yesterday and then disconnected it from the USB. I did not turn off the GPS function, however, so that may have caused the drain. More troubling, however... when I plug it back into the USB the display shows as "full," but checking the battery meter when disconnected it shows 100% until a minute has passed (and the clock "turns") when it suddenly drops to less than 25%. I'm going to leave it on the charger for a few hours and see if it indeed shows full when disconnected again... if not, there may be a battery issue, which would also brick the watch since it doesn't appear that it is replaceable.
(update - ten minutes later) I just glanced at the display on the watch (plugged into the USB) and the display has changed from "full" to "charging" and is showing 75%. I seem to recall some kind of animation on the battery symbol when charging, however, and it is static right now... I will keep you posted, as I know you are all holding off on the rest of your day to find out what will become of this...
(update - two hours later) OK it seems like all is well... the display on the watch clicked over to "full" and with it unplugged, the battery meter also shows full. Whew.
As I was walking, I listened to the entire Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack, because #easter. It was not lost on me that we have been living under some form of quarantine for approximately 40 days and 40 nights (I recall that when my son and I cancelled our trip to Atlantic City, which was supposed to happen on Ash Wednesday, that was the day I resigned myself to the fact that this was indeed a "problem"). It was also not lost that, with the impending start of my program (and in theory, a new chance to achieve optimum health and fitness), it will be a kind of resurrection. Happy Easter and Happy Passover!

Happy Jebus death/resurrection extravaganza! or Happy rabbit shitting eggs long weekend. I figured I'd give you options, not too sure how you might identify.

Oh well... I just texted with my trainer and he won't have my program finished until later tonight. He just posted to FB that he is actually busier now than he was before the CV outbreak. And because of the weather, my boss told me to take the day off, and my contractor also called out... so I've been a lazy lazy boy. I'm probably going to have to go to the store at some point in the next hour or two, and I should probably do a load of laundry. Both of those require going outside, and with my phone just alerting me to an active tornado watch until 6pm, that is also subject to change. BTW... if anyone is interested in who I am working with... www.pulsenutritionconcepts.com(update) Got the laundry done, got the trip to the store done, and since the weather has cleared significantly, got a three mile walk done, which is nice.

OK so I got the meal plan and the supplement plan this morning... nothing I didn't expect in either one, and mostly things I already have "in-house."
Dave is sending my lifting and cardio plan this afternoon. I will spend the next few days working through all four components as a "test run."
Therefore, I will officially begin my transformation on Monday... I'm going to get up extra early so I can say I started 4:20-4.20.2020 LOL.
(and no, I won't be smoking anything that day... I picked the wrong time to quit cigars and weed).

Hmm... not sure what lady you are referring to... my trainer Dave was the star of the documentary series Raise The Bar, which is indeed on YouTube.
The movies were made by his brother Mike, who also created the Kai Greene documentaries (and many others for the supplement company MHP).
There were a few ladies (Jenn Emig, Hayley McNeff) in the RTB series, but AFAIK they never did any other videos besides the ones they did with Dave.
You can find RTB and the Kai videos by searching Mike Pulcinella on YouTube. Fun fact: I went to high school with their cousins, Steve and Joe.
Steve is a former World's Strongest Man competitor, and is the face of the "Do You Even Lift, Bro" meme. The more you know...

I checked my youtube subscriptions. It was Chelsealifts. She has deleted her videos but a google search does show her clothing company as RTB clothing. I don't know if she was somehow in business with the other Raise The Bar (RTB) fitness people.

I checked my youtube subscriptions. It was Chelsealifts.Ah... good catch. I know she had some health problems and I believe that's when she took down her videos/channel. I also seem to remember she had a stalker at one point. But no... no relation/connection to the Pulcinella documentaries.

Wow... it's been a week, that's for sure. In addition to trying to get everything ready to start my program on Monday, we're still working on the house (more on that later -- side story first).
I know a woman who used to live here in my little town, but moved away a few years back. We stayed in touch on FB, and last year she said she wanted to move back, provided she could find a job here. So I started forwarding her links and postings, and sure enough, she got an offer from a charitable organization that I do some volunteer work for. Anyway, in our conversations I mentioned that my apartment would be available for rent. Well, she decided she did indeed want to take it for the short term (and possibly long term)... and that she wanted to move in this weekend. Back to the main story...
OK... so that means I need to move out of the apartment, which put a timeframe/deadline for me to move back into the house. In order to do that (at minimum) I needed to have the water/sewer sorted out (we were planning to replace/re-route a lot of those systems while we had the floor torn out). So on Thursday, we shut off the water, made the disconnects, and dug into that project. Well... it turned out that we DIDN'T actually shut off the water...
See, when I had my new well installed a few years ago, I told the company how I wanted the water lines run... from the well to the apartment, and then from the apartment to the house (using the existing underground line between the two... the old well that we replaced ran from the house to the apartment, so basically just doing the hookup in reverse). And it turns out they didn't do it the way I asked, and just split the connecting line underground between the properties, so the well feeds both the apartment and the house independently (which also explained why the house was not getting "clean" water last year when I was living there from Sept-Feb, as the house water was not actually going through the purifier, which is in the apartment).
When we disconnected the line at the house, it SEEMED that we had shut it off... but the only reason we didn't get water flowing out of the pipe was because the well pump wasn't running. So when I returned to the apartment that night, as soon as I took a shower the pump kicked on, water started flooding out under the house... and since the circuit that controls the well pump was now "open" it just kept pumping... for twelve hours. The only reason I had water in the apartment for my shower was that I was drawing from the hot water tank... the shut off valve we turned actually cut off the flow coming from the well.
So I woke up yesterday to a text from my neighbor (which he had sent at midnight) saying that there was water pouring out from under the house and my yard (as well as the yards of all of my neighbors) were flooding. So I ran out in my pajamas (and waterproof boots) and killed the power to the well, stopping the flow. Going into the cottage, there was about a foot and a half of water underneath... and my new sump pump system (which we installed two weeks ago) was running full time trying to keep up (and failing to do so). I went back outside and saw that the sump was just filling the yard (we hadn't connected the hose to the sewer line yet... just ran a hose from the crawl space as a temporary fix)... so I shut it off to add more hose to get it out to the street (where it would flow into the drainage ditches).
When I came back into the house after that to restart the sump pump, however, it wouldn't fire up again... the motor probably burned out. So it was off to the hardware store to buy a new one, which made quick work of removing the water under the house. But since I thought that the valve we shut off (assuming it was the feed to the house) had failed, we went ahead and replaced it (by this time my contractor had arrived), only to find that it didn't stop the flow to the house after all (of course). To wrap up this story, I called the people that installed the well, and they are coming out on Tuesday to discuss and fix the problem.
Fast forward to now... since I had taken off on Thursday to work on the house, and then I called out on Friday to deal with the problem, I have to work today. I also have to move out of the apartment tonight (I did pack up almost everything last night... I hadn't brought much over from the house to begin with back in the beginning of March). And of course, its cold and rainy today. So a triple-play of suck is in store for me in the next 24 hours...
I know.. TL:DR

Water floods are no joke. I was flooded in apartment once with hot water in winter.

Sorry to hear about your flood. I don't know the distance, but can you live in your PA house until the other house is livable again?
