I wasn't much of a poster on JSF, more like a lurker. Hello, everyone. I am going to start my journal here and see what happens.

Hello, everyone. I am going to start my journal here and see what happens. You're already showing a strong avatar game.

Perhaps, I should establish some kind of a starting point. I am currently 72 kg (159 lbs) at 175 cm (5 ft 8 1/2 inches) tall. That's fairly good, but I still have a little flab around my midsection, so I want to lose 2 kg (4.4 lbs). My ideal weight would be 65 kg (143.3 lbs), because light weight is good for running. Running is my main sports hobby right now. I also play a bit of soccer in the summer and take part in local sports orienteering competitions (that's running in the forest with a compass and a map). During winter I also ski. I lift weights 1 - 2 times per week working whole body (I do 5 sets of 5 exercises). So, lifting is not my main thing. I am in a fairly good running form: I can run half-marathon and my 5K time is below 30 minutes. During this winter season I skied more than 200 km and my max distance was 15 km on a hilly freestyle trail. My goal for this summer season is to take part in as many local orienteering competitions as possible and try to not finish last. If I slim to 65 kg by winter, I want to gain a little muscle during winter.

Welcome.
Pet avatars seem to be a theme; I'm guilty of participating in the trend.

You didn't have to change the name.of your journal.
The orienteering competition sounds interesting. Is it a timed event where you find different checkpoints along the way?

Skiing season is coming to a close. I think I shall ski tomorrow and start running after that. Last saturday I ran a local parkrun 5K race and finished it in 35 minutes. Not very good. I need to improve since skiing didn't seem to help with keeping my running form. My best 5K time is 24 minutes. I hope to beat it by autumn.

This week was pretty light on the training side. Yesterday I spent the day outside and had an alpine skiing session. Today I went to the gym. Did my usual 5x5 routine working different body parts. Local sport events are closed to viewing public til the end of march which kinda sucks because of the hockey play offs. Other than that, it's business as usual. Except, we had our body temperature checked at the office. I also keep a hand sanitizing gel at my desk. Is there a tinfoil hat smiley?

There should be a tinfoil hat smiley. :-)
For the past few days, me, wifey, and dear son have been taking our temperature. So far no elevation.

Slow day start for me today. Slept 10 hours, now did stretching and push ups. Gotta make it an everyday routine. I am trying fasting, 15 hours is the goal now.

Me fast went well. It lasted 15 1/2 hours. I did not feel anything special nor was I very hungry. I'll do 16 hours this week.
Yesterday I did stretching while watching youtube at home.

Do you notice whether or not sleep has any effect on your hunger during a fast? I've had several poor nights sleep recently and was ravenous when I woke up for the day. Last night I got an abundance of sleep and didn't feel hungry until 10:00 am.
